Flatgallery
Flatgallery is a project of a flat gallery in the centre of Bratislava with a focus on the contemporary visual art of young, mainly local artists. This year in December, the gallery will mark its fifth year of existence under the curatorship of Andrej Jaroš and other invited curators. The gallery hosts seven exhibitions a year (each appearing roughly every two months) and it shows painting, drawing, graphics and photography, but also design, object and video art. This is the first year of the Flatgallery's participation in BADW where they will present glass objects by the duo Illola (Patrik Illo and Aleksandra Stencel), chinaware by Markéta Nováková and Mira Podmanická, a signature wrist watch by Tomáš Ondroušek and painted wooden products by the Markovič company.
