KAFKA-KURTÁG-BELLUŠ
BETRACHTUNG
Set design has become a living art. It's no longer just about the perfectly mastered craft of scenic effects. It is thinking about space. A place that can be both concrete and fictional. A place where one can be both normal and surreal. There is nothing more important to an architect and architecture than to see it working. But not just as a layout diagram. It must also endure the collisions of relationship and narrative. Ones that make it up and give meaning to the layout.
Within the framework of the seminar-studio of Contemporary Scenography, students of FA STU prepared a musical-performative spatial project treating the themes of Kafka's short prose Betrachtung and Kurtág's musical compositions Kafka Fragmente for soprano and violin in Belluš's building as a scenography. The project will be performed live at the Faculty of Architecture during Bratislava Design Week.
The performance will take place on Wednesday 10.6. at 17:00 at the Faculty of Architecture, STU
