Kateřina Plamitzerová

Kateřina Plamitzerová, a young Czech fashion designer, will also show her current derivation of the Nihon Lobendau collection, mixing Japanese and Czech influences, at the Fashion Situation during the festival's opening ceremony. The graduate of the Fashion and Footwear Design Studio at UMPRUM in Prague has already won the Mercedes-Benz Talent 2015 competition and has been nominated for this year's Czech Grand Design in the Fashion Designer category. Her signature is characterised by generous, sculpturally built volumes, draping and moderate colour tones. The Mononoke jewellery, inspired by Japanese artist and anime guru Hayao Miazaki, was designed for the collection by Markéta Kratochvílová, who will also be present at BADW 2017 through the exhibition Steady Level.
