Rediscovering Landscape
Michal Golák is a sculptor and, with reluctance, a designer who explores post-industrial peripheries and transforms found objects into new, innovative forms.

The artist's objects, based on his exploration of post-industrial peripheries, transform the lost and found into entirely new forms - whether functional objects or innovative materials. This process not only re-finds discarded things, but also re-presents the periphery itself, transforming waste into something of value. Discovered on the street by a curator, the artist shares a fascination with unconventional views of the city and its peripheries, showing how overlooked places offer great potential for creative reinterpretation. The fluid boundary between the city and its edges (much like the transformation of found objects into new materials) reveals them to be essentially two sides of the same coin. Through her work, she challenges traditional views of value and materiality, inviting us to consider how the forgotten and overlooked can be transformed into something meaningful and new.
