MUST JOON

MUST JOON in English means black line. Line is what remains after touching paper with a pencil or with any kind of tracing tool on any kind of material. Black is the colour that supports different characteristics of line in the most powerful way. Simple black line helps to focus on the nature of line itself. Gesture, spontaneity and its simplicity supports collaborative activity.

MUST JOON is a collective of international artists and students with different backgrounds whose collaboration began at the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2013. By using drawing games and experiments they develop playful, innovative and joyful ways how to spend time together creatively. Besides actual drawings the group creates videos and animations, discovers drawing in space and explores black line as a uniting tool.
