The Soft Rebel Kit is based on personal childhood experiences shaped by rationality, control, and aesthetic minimalism. Growing up in an environment without spontaneous play, sensory stimuli, and emotional expression led to the experience of so-called „white emotionality“ – repressed but internally intense sensitivity.
This introspective framework extends to the broader social context in which technological media increasingly influence childhood. Digitalization replaces childhood, physical interaction, and sensory exploration, leading to a loss of playfulness, spontaneity, and the creative process.
The project thematizes silent resistance – soft rebel – as a strategy of rewriting functional, technical, and rational structures into formats that return to subjectivity, memory, and sensuality. Instructions, objects, and materials become carriers of intimate meaning, redefining the boundaries between function and play, control, and sensitivity, childhood and adulthood.
