The story of Hedvig began to be written a long time ago. The theme of folk costume has always haunted me. In the Hedviga clothing collection, I took it from a completely different end than usual. Since the name of the collection is after my grandmother Hedviga, it was natural to base the collection on her usual attire - the costume. My grandmother was a costumed woman, so I was very close to things that one doesn't normally get to. I set out on a journey to unpick the costume and use the underlying supporting materials to create a new collection. And that's what happened. The petticoats, the shrouds, the pads to hold the skirts but of course I was very much into the silhouette but I also used the principle of tying skirts, aprons... All of this is carried through in the collection, as is the classic embroidery. But you won't find me embroidering flowers, symbols... For me this collection was of great significance because my grandmother is no longer with us and meant a lot to me so I took her beautiful signature (as she used to say - we learnt to write like this nicely at school and I was only a third folk) Her iconic signature Hedwig is embroidered tone on tone so as not to distort the silhouette of the shawl or the whole costume. I embraced the collection as a no-waste one, as my grandmother processed everything and didn't throw it away..... and if I had anything left over, I created little children's garments. For me, this collection was a GENERATIONAL collection. It started with a grandmother going through to dressing a young woman, to a child. I used only natural material and since I have been working with leather since my studies at UMPRUM in Prague, leather appears in this collection as well. Slowly I have moved into the MAM collection where I am slowly shifting the silhouette, the shape, the material, which I have made particularly contemporary, but working material, namely denim. I'm pushing my boundaries and memories. The MAM collection is meant to be one day of mother and child. Hedwig was a peasant, she kept poultry, worked the fields and the garden. She worked all the time. She got up early in the morning to provide for the whole farm. So do I today as a mother of 3 children. Constantly needing to get ready, running around... So the MAM collection is like one day of a mother with children transformed into clothes - from morning to deep night. For this collection I moved from costume embroidery to hand drawing, printing. The baby is very inspiring but also action oriented and therefore not only the walls and coloring but also the mother's clothing gets busy during the day. The collection is clothing and for display, we don't need much space for mannequins. Since it's supposed to be Mother's Day with a swipe from Hedwig I would like to know the installation as some EAN code of the collection.<\/p>\n
