Unique circumstances brought together the architect and designer Julia Kunovsk\u00e1 (1950) and the designer and educator Sylvia Jokelov\u00e1 (1973). They represent different generations, different approaches to creation, different life stories. Their meeting on the jury of one of the design competitions grew into a shared passion for Nordic walking, and for several years now their walking together in the Carpathian Mountains has been about survival, regeneration, experiences, new knowledge, mutual support, friendship, but also conversations about art. Together they fill the space that divides them, but<\/span> and connects. They go to the hills in all weathers, in bad weather and in sunny <\/span>days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Their favourite place for walking became the Sitina forest<\/span> in D\u00fabravka and after some time they started to think about a joint project, <\/span>a logical reasoning followed - \"the forest for us, us for the forest\". They decided to <\/span>the creation of variable feeders and waterers for wild birds that would <\/span>could be piloted in this forest. In the process of their creation<\/span> often had to abandon purely artistic thinking, the specific \"target<\/span> group\" required a special approach. They therefore asked for cooperation<\/span> Andrea Froncova from the conservation association BROZ, who provided valuable <\/span>input information and for further expansion of the project to other locations within <\/span>Slovakia teamed up with Slovak Nordic Walking Association President Lucia<\/span>
\nOkolicani.<\/span><\/p>\n

Their joint presentation at BADW 2023 is also about finding answers to<\/span> questions that the designer asks himself\/herself in the reality of the contemporary world through<\/span> of intergenerational (creative) dialogue, where walking the path is its<\/span> a symbolic, but also a literal part.<\/span><\/p>\n
