<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\nBADW 2025 Winners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Atelier Meter: Magical Forest<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Magical Forest is an art installation by the duo Atelier Meter, originally created as a site-specific installation for Grape Festival 2026, whose theme was mythical zoo. It presents an enchanted world where magical creatures, the festival visitors themselves, come together. Pink trees with organic shapes, realised as large-scale inflatable objects, create a visual utopia inspired by the world of fairy tales. The installation offers a space to pause, rest, and meet others, as well as to briefly escape everyday reality. It serves as a reminder that sometimes, we don\u2019t have to take ourselves too seriously. Monika Jur\u00edkov\u00e1 and Peter Pozn\u00edk are graphic designers and visual artists working together as Atelier Meter. They are co-founders and co-organisers of [TypospoT], an independent exhibition platform focused on conceptual typography. Both graduated from the TYPOLAB studio at the Department of Visual Communication at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. In 2025, they received the Main Award at Bratislava Design Week.
Their professional practice focuses primarily on visual identities, editorial and exhibition design, and typography. They regularly balance handcrafted maximalism with minimalism, working predominantly within the cultural sector. They explore design in different contexts and through multidisciplinary approaches, allowing them to move beyond established conventions. Their work includes identities for Grape ZOO, Sensorium Festival, Billy Barman, 42far, and n Festival. They also frequently collaborate with projects associated with Vitamin, a cultural centre in Brno.
Their independent projects primarily explore phenomenological themes, critically and ironically addressing bizarre trends and tendencies emerging from the contemporary digital era. Monika often works with the concept of the self and her persona, Superficial Monika, through which she critiques parasocial relationships and performativity across various contexts. Peter\u2019s independent practice explores video games through themes of nostalgia and escapism, as well as their unconventional use in creating visual content.
