Herbert von Krochent\u00e1l<\/p>\n

The project was created as part of the Actual Trends in Design\u00a0Subject\u00a0of\u00a0the Faculty of Architecture at STU\u00a0in Bratislava. We answer to the surrounding kitsch through a piglet by the name Herbert von Krochent\u00e1l. A sign of kitsch may be a perfectly handled craft, where the author\u2019s certain immaturity level is visible in the content. A precisely done work proves seriousness of the author\u2019s intention. To us, it is an occasion for parody. We work with irony and humour to exercise the critical way of thinking. A critic is anonymous and can hid himself behind the Herbert\u2019s character. The installation collects photographs (graphics, collages etc.) mirroring events in the fields of design, architecture, and art of living space.<\/p>\n
