It became a battlefield, where the current
politics is born. The evidence of this effect is our current Prime minister
Igor Matovič. Facebook allows him to quickly change roles but still keep
authenticity. He can be a Prime minister, father, husband, activist, or a cool
guy. But there is nothing that his Facebook account says about his actual
political activity or who he truly is.

His Facebook feed only says, what he wants to say himself.

My diploma project is an archive of over 600 screenshots of Prime
ministers Facebook statements, which I organised into extensive data
visualisation. The key to this categorisation was the topics, which Igor
Matovič brings at his account himself. I specifically picked the statements,
which do not comment on politics, instead, they try to convince us about his
everyday life that is ordinary and alike ours. This performed authenticity is
what generates his likes and popularity.

I am designing the maps of his Facebook feed and also schemes of
his mind by analyzing the language that he uses. Installation is interactive,
the viewer may enter the space and rearrange the fragments into new contexts,
or even into chaos. This subjective approach aims to contrast with the
technical rationality of social media, which is misleading.

Materialization represents a soft carpet that associates the
environment, where you can spend your free time and read Facebook in a new,
imaginative way, which is in contrast with the delusional temporality of
Facebook statuses.

I try to be critical towards Facebook, but I enter that space with
the fascination and excitement of an explorer at the same time. That is, in my
opinion, an urgent method of how to survive in the social media environment.

Facebook už dávno nie je len miestom sociálnej interakcie s priateľmi.
