It was founded in autumn 2019 and has completed its first academic year. With its concept, it advocates a discussion about the need for a paradigm shift and a rethinking of the seemingly unchanging positions of design in a world that is slowly shifting to an intangible digital space against the backdrop of the looming climate crisis. It creates a space for a critical approach to the field studied, as well as a perception of the wider social, cultural, political, social or ecological context. The conceptual framework of the assignments ranges from basic concepts such as material, technology, form and function, to addressing the relationship between object and user, object and environment, and the role of design in society.
