RONA a. s. Lednické Rovne

 

Celkom jednoznačnou a logickou voľbou bola pre tento rok na BaDW v edícii Majstri skláreň RONA a. s. v Lednických Rovniach. Krehkosť v nej testujú už 130 rokov a jej minulosť i súčasnosť je jedným zo signálnych príbehov slovenského dizajnu. Skláreň, ktorú koncom 19. storočia založil viedenský obchodník Jozef Schreiber, mala vtedy v portfóliu okrem tabuľového, lisovaného skla aj nápojové sklo. To kontinuálne vyznačuje charakter sklárne dodnes.

RONA je jedným z globálnych lídrov vo výrobe a produkcii nápojového skla. Vyrába sa tu dominantne automaticky, strojovo, v miliónoch kusov ročne, vždy tu však existovala vôľa a odvaha podporovať a rozvíjať autorský dizajn. V slovenskom prostredí to predstavuje unikátnu situáciu. Nebáť sa, experimentovať a inovovať je v Lednických Rovniach tradíciou azda už od rakúsko-uhorských začiatkov, kedy sa tu sklo ako prvé v kontinentálnej Európe dekorovalo pantografom. V 50. rokoch 20. storočia bola pod taktovkou interných dizajnérov sklárne Karola Hološka a Jaroslava Tarabu vyvinutá legendárna technológia ťahanej nohy. Cit pre dizajnérsku kvalitu produktu spolu so silným ťahom na progresívne možnosti strojovej výroby je aj v súčasnosti hlavným poznávacím znamením spoločnosti RONA a. s. Najúspešnejšej sklárne v slovenskej histórii, ako dodáva kunsthistorička Dagmar Poláčková v katalógu jednej z výročných výstav sklárne.

Výstava v kurátorskom výbere Patrika Illa, hlavného dizajnéra sklárne, mapuje silnú a impozantnú stopu, v ktorej od 50. rokov 20. storočia až dodnes hrá prím spolupráca dizajnéra/remeselníka/výroby. Vyznačujú ju autorky a autori, ktorí dizajn sklárne zreteľne poznamenali – od Karola Hološka a Jaroslava Tarabu, erbových osobností slovenského sklárskeho dizajnu a dôležitých exponentov tamojšieho výnimočného dizajnérskeho strediska, cez Ladislava Pagáča, Jozefa Kolembusa, Juraj Steinhübela, absolventov sklárskeho ateliéru na VŠVU v Bratislave, ktorí profil sklárne formovali v 80. a 90. rokoch 20. storočia, až po Patrika Illa, Miloša Janků, Máriu Račekovú a Aleksandru Stencel, dizajnérov a dizajnérky, ktorí navrhujú pre RONU v ostatných rokoch. Obraz dejín sklárne dopĺňajú viacerí českí sklárski dizajnéri/ výtvarníci, ktorí viac či menej intenzívne so sklárňami spolupracovali najmä v 60. a 70. rokoch 20. storočia, ako napríklad Dagmar Kudrová-Seifertová alebo Jindřich Rejnart.
