Tvárou a osobnosťou BADW pre rok 2021 je Krystína Španihelová. Jej autorský šperk má jedinečný charakter. Španihelová je hlboko ponorená v materiáloch kde neustále ako výskumník či skôr alchymista prináša nové objavy. Mlieko, hlina, krv, kosti, rašelina… to je len malá ukážka materiálov s ktorými pri tvorbe šperku doteraz pracovala. Zaujíma ju poézia, mytológia, obrazy starých majstrov, príroda a jej neutíchajúce procesy. Dlhodobejšie spolupracuje s módnym návrhárom Martinom Hrčom. Za svoju tvorbu získala viacero dôležitých ocenení. Minulý rok sa predstavila s výraznou kolekciou šperkov XÚLONCITY, ktorá sa inšpirovala starovekým Gréckom a bunkovou štruktúrou dreva. Pracovala pri nej s kompozitným materiálom PLA (polyatic acid) s 40% dreveným prachom a s drevom. Pri jej vzniku použila 3D pero. Pôsobí ako odborná asistentka v ateliéri S+M+L_XL na VŠVU. Pre vizuál BADW 2021 ju fotil Ľuboš Kotlár.
