TERMS

Register your projects using the form by 17 August 2025. In order for your application to be submitted successfully, it must contain information about the artist, the work and the required attachments (documentation, portfolio). The entry fee is linked to the exhibition space and the category in which you are entering your project.

BADW 2025 Open Call is free this year!

In response to the current cultural situation, we have decided to waive all exhibition fees as part of our open call. With this gesture, we clearly want to support the Slovak design scene and provide an opportunity for both established and emerging designers, whether individuals or collectives.*

Show us what you are working on! You can apply with an existing work, but we also welcome new projects that will be created directly for the Bratislava Design Week 2025 festival or will have their premiere here. Submitted works may or may not reflect this year's theme, which is CHANGE.

Important note: *The free exhibition support does not apply to commercial and business entities.

Solid Area

commercial and business entities - professionals, manufacturers, retailers
price: m²/40 € (minimum fee 50 €)
after ordering the space, the entity becomes part of the program, will be included in all promotional materials + entrances to the opening reception and free entrances for partners of the entities to the festival area (6 pcs)
The exhibition space fee is payable in one lump sum and is valid for the entire duration of the festival.

Design Lab

intended for beginning design studios and recent graduates of art schools
price: 0 € / m² (space is limited according to the number of registrants)
after booking the space, the subject becomes part of the program, will be included in all promotional materials + entrances to the opening reception and free entrances to the festival grounds (4 pcs)

Pararell Area

commercial organisers of exhibitions and events in venues other than BADW headquarters
Price: 150 EUR
participation fee for co-participation (events and exhibitions in your own premises) includes inclusion in the campaign, programme, promotion in the festival newspaper, visible signage of the showroom/gallery (PLAGUE) + entry to the opening reception and free entry to the festival (5 pcs)
The exhibition space fee is payable in one lump sum and is valid for the entire duration of the festival.

School Area

design school students
maximum exhibition space - 30 m²
price: 0 € / m² (space is limited according to the number of registrants)
price includes entry to the opening reception and free entry to the festival (4 pcs)

Bratislava Design Week is a space for presentations of contemporary Slovak and international design. The aim of the open call is to provide a space for both established and emerging designers, design producers and distributors, design students, individuals or groups.
