DESIGN × SCIENCE, 2023

At BADW23 it will be possible to see Michala Lipkova's curatorial project DESIGN × SCIENCE, presenting 6 doctoral research projects of FAD STU. The projects will be presented in the form of an installation composed of 7 rectangular pedestals with a square plan. Under the umbrella of the Trimtab | Prototyping Change platform for design research and technology transfer, the DESIGN × SCIENCE installation will present PhD students' projects from the period 2014-2023, which address a wide range of research topics.

Research topics of the presented projects: generative design (Matej Dubiš), time perception (Petra Hurai), design-oriented innovations in biomaterials (Vlasta Kubušová), use of AI in design (Vladimír Boroň), modularity and additive manufacturing (Lucia Suchá) and research in the field of surface colouring of bioplastics (Soňa Otiepková). The projects are linked by interdisciplinary cooperation and the search for new positions in architecture and design.
