Encoded, decoded
Karol Pichler is one of the most important figures of the Slovak neoconcept. He is dedicated to objects as well as installation, with consistently built intellectual background, showing an extraordinary material sensitivity. His name resonates strongly in relation with textile art (in various layers), but also with jewelry and design. Nevertheless, his life and work taking place outside Slovakia in recent years, he is still an active participant within national art scene. In an outstandingly broad body of his creative activities, inter alia, appear for example tie objects for several years – we are showing a selection of them on the 2nd floor of the Festival Headquarters, Laurinská street no. 14th.
