WoodPack is a rhythmic and melodic musical instrument made of high-quality, highly resonant wood. The soundboard of the instrument consists of carved out tongues of different length – every one of them is attuned to play a different note of the scale. Due to vibration of the wood, an unusual wooden tone is made, sounding like one made by a marimba or a xylophone. It is possible to play songs and melodies with the sticks with rubber tips or with one’s fingers. This unique percussion instrument is a Slovak product, hand-made using a specific process with a unique way of tuning.
