Repair used to be a widespread way to prolong the lifetime of objects, but the times of hyperconsumerism have made it redundant. In the time that calls for ecologically responsible approach towards design, repair may be a creative challenge: returning a non-functional, obsolete or non-attractive product its value through designer’s intervention.

At this year’s BADW, the students of Individual Design at theDesign Department of AFAD in Bratislava under the lead of associate professor Sylvia Jokelová, МА, will present their individual attitudes towards the assignment.
