The collection tells about the possibilities of transforming Slovak folk textiles and ornaments in digital language. It is a reaction to the often unscrupulous copying of folk embroidery for commercial purposes. In their work they explore traditional folk embroidery, its formal forms - materials, colour and shape compositions, which they confront with the conveniences and needs of the contemporary digital age. For this purpose, using a digital embroidery machine, which transforms the original form of the initial inspiration into a wide range of textile materials. The search for a common visual language of folk and contemporary expression creates new forms of embroidery and ornaments.I then apply the modified ornament to large-format fabric using the tufting technique - by changing the composition and scale, the folk ornament gets a new expression.
